Level 1: Initial Setup

VirtualBox installation

Windows Server 2019 evaluation version download

Windows Server 2019 installation on VirtualBox

Configuring NAT network for internal devices communication

Create one more copy of windows server

Take snapshot on both machines

Level 2: Server 1 Configuration (DC1)

Rename server 1 as DC1

Change network settings from dynamic to static

Use static network as instructed

Install ADDS, DNS and DFS

Restart machine

Login as administrator

Promote DC1 to ADDS

Level 2: Server 2 Configuration (USER1)

Rename server 2 as USER1

Change network settings from dynamic to static

Use static network as instructed

Install DFS

Restart machine

Login

⚠️ Note: DO NOT install ADDS on server 2
